San Francisco, CA… The Madrid-based Flamenco Suite Española Presents… Castro Romero Flamenco, a Spanish flamenco dance company comprised of 3 siblings, Rosario, Ricardo, and José Castro Romero, in its acclaimed show Esencia Flamenca. The 3-city Northern California tour will take place at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, The Tower Theatre in Fresno, and Fox Theatre in Redwood City on October 9, 10, and 11, 2015, respectively.

Delighting audiences for over 21 years, Flamenco Suite Española is regarded as one of the best in the world. The Castro Romero siblings were born in Granada, Andalucia, Spain – the heart of Flamenco – and are among Spain’s most renowned flamenco dancers and choreographers. At an early age, they were cast members in Carlos Saura’s critically acclaimed film El Amor Brujo (The Bewitched Love) and became the featured dancers at the world famous Corral de la Morería of Madrid. In 1994, they started their own dance company, Flamenco Suite Española, where they serve as artistic directors, choreographers, and principal dancers. They have received international recognition as principal dancers in the world’s most prestigious stages. Flamenco Suite Española was the first flamenco company to be invited to dance at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 2008, the Castro Romero siblings were honored with Spain’s National Prize for Dance as Living Cultural Treasures. Earlier this year, Rosario and Ricardo choreographed a new production of the opera Carmen (Georges Bizet) for Moscow’s Bolshoi Theater and were the featured flamenco soloists. All their performances have been sold out months in advance, and they have received great critical accolades by Russia’s theatrical press. Flamenco Suite Española has toured extensively throughout Europe, Asia and Latin America and is pleased to be returning to the San Francisco Bay Area to perform original musical compositions with an outstanding ensemble of musicians.

The Castro Romero siblings come from a long line of Flamenco artists: their grandparents were singers and both parents were recording artists. Their mother, Rosario Romero Arroyo, was a famous flamenco dancer and choreographer and recorded as a soloist as well as with her sisters as Las Hermanas Romero.

Flamenco Suite Española promises an unforgettable evening of breathtaking Flamenco passion and magic: a journey through a variety of styles of Flamenco displaying the sensuality, elegance, emotion and power of the genre.

There will be 12 highly regarded Flamenco artists (6 dancers and 6 musicians) featured:
